II. Narrative Section 
16. Project Description: Provide a structured plan for a new DMV CDL facility to cater for the increasing numbers of haulage contractors in the area.
17. Project Justification: Current building is too small to cater for the number of visitors to the building. Lines of waiting customers can often be seen outside of the existing building which causes frustration and bad tempers. Existing location is in an industrial area and is subject to numerous acts of vandalism. Employees are sometimes afraid for their safety due to being a hangout for drug addicts, drug dealers and the homeless population of Las Vegas.
18. Project Background Information: Ideas would be to turn current CDL office into Motor Carrier Office for non-testing CDL transactions, which will allow Motor Carrier more room. That is tax examiners to handle Motor Carrier business. The new CDL building, would conduct all CDL transactions and testing. The thought process behind this project is to accommodate future growth in Southern Nevada. Possible locations for the new facility would be Silverado Ranch or Valley View.
