II. Narrative Section 
16. Project Description: Replace roofing on North Annex Building at Nevada State Museum.
17. Project Justification: Current roof was installed in 1999. It leaked last year, and has ongoing leaks. The North Annex houses major anthropology collections with irreplaceable artifacts, including the Native American basket collection with items valued in the millions of dollars. The NSM is an accredited AAM museum, and any deterioration in collections housing could threaten accreditation.
18. Project Background Information: Current roof is approximately 5,000 square feet and was installed in 1999. The warranty has expired. It leaked last year, and is leaking this year. The roof has ongoing leaks. The North Annex houses major State of Nevada anthropology collections with irreplaceable artifacts, including the Native American basket collection with items valued in the millions of dollars.
