Project Description: To construct a warehouse in the current NDA parking lot in Las Vegas that would have freezer, refrigeration and dry storage for foods collected and awaiting shipment for such programs as :National School Lunch, Child and Adult Care, Commodity Supplemental Foods, etc. Also provide space for a maintenance garage and laboratory space for Dairy, Plant and Animal programs.
17. Project Justification: NDA currently leases cold storage space in Las Vegas. This adds costs to the programs, extra wear and tear on trucks and employees, inefficiency on times spent unloading and loading from a different location than our dry storage, and issues with inventory control.
