II. Narrative Section 
1. Project Description: Recoat existing foam roof with ceramic coating to match existing.
2. Project Justification: The ceramic coating has exceeded its useful life and is in need of refinishing to protect the foam roof.
3. Project Background Information: This roof was completed in 1999. The roof is a foam roof with a ceramic coating to protect it. The ceramic coating has a useful life of 10 years.

5. Ramifications if the Project is not Approved (short essay): Failure to refinish the ceramic coating of the roof will ultimately allow the foam roof to break down to begin to decay and the resource could be lost.

6. Please describe any health, life safety, and/or legal issues that will be resolved by completing this project (Short Essay): The tower is used daily by park visitors. Should the roof begin to leak it will erode the adobe wall construction and potentially cause the building to fail. In the event of failure, it would present a life safety hazard to the visitors and Park Staff.
