II. Narrative Section
Project Justification (Essay)
Project Description: This project would provide a 8,840 square foot, prefabricated metal building. This building requires power, lights, heating and cooling. This would include approximately 300 additional linear feet of fenced yard to protect the area.
Project Justification: The existing shop is being heated with a wood stove, which is a serious health and safety issue. The park does not have adequate storage or an appropriate place to store vehicles and park equipment. A new shop, vehicle, and equipment storage building would eliminate the health and safety issue and provide the needed storage. It will also provide protection for park vehicles & equipment.
Project Background Information: Vehicles and materials are being repaired and replaced much more often than they should be. This is due to the conditions identified in the justification above.
Mechanical and/or Electrical Equipment Replacement Projects:
Type of equipment to be replaced:
Year existing equipment was installed:
Manufacturer of existing equipment:
Model of existing equipment:
Hazardous Materials (Asbestos, Lead Paint, etc.):
Will this project require any hazardous material abatement? Unknown
Ramifications if the Project is not Approved
(Short Essay): If this project is not approved, the existing "shop" will need to continue to operate as a shop (which includes wood work and related supplies) with the wood stove as the shop is used mostly in the winter. This is a life safety hazard that needs to be corrected. There is currently no vehicle, equipment and supply storage. Therefore vehicles, heavy equipment and materials will continue to degrade due to the harsh climate at the park.
Health, Life Safety, and/or Legal Issues
Please describe any health, life safety, and/or legal issues that will be resolved by completing this project (Short Essay): See above item #9.
