Project Justification (Essay)
Project Description: The purpose of the project will be to paint exterior, repair 32 year old damaged stucco, and replace wooden beams, as required, on all campus buildings 1, 2, 6 & 6A.
Project Justification: The exisiting building exteriors are in serious need of repair and repainting. Deterioration and water damage to existing stucco could cause water intrusion and create a mold and health hazards.
Project Background Information: Building listed above have not been painted or the exterior maintained in 12-14 years. Some mold issues have been addressed by Risk Management as well as facility maintenance staff in the past. This project was recommended by the Governor to the Legislatures in SPWB Project No. 03-M30 and was not funded.
