Project Justification (Essay)
Project Description: Scope of Work: Provide a new 300 sf hardened Amory for this facility.
Project Justification: NNCC is requesting a steel reinforced concrete block building be built to the south of the gate house under direct supervision of the guard tower. This armory is requested to be 15ft x 20ft which will provide ample room to perform all necessary armory storage and weapons maintenance. A concrete sidewalk will need to be added/ placed from that building to the alreaedy existing man-gate nearby.
Project Background Information: The current Armory located at NNCC is located in a small room within the gatehouse. Due to expansions over the years, that armory can no longer safely and appropriately store all weapons as well as allow for critical weapons maintenance to occur. There is no room for additional needed cabinets, and there is a safety and security concern about having that armory located in an area that sees constant and varied traffic on an hourly basis.
