II. Narrative Section 
Project Justification (Essay)
Project Description: Scope of Work: Provide a Fire Suppression System for the Administration, Command Post/Ops and Visiting buildings.
Project Justification: This project would provide for installation of fire sprinklers including back flow prevention devices. This project was previously recommended in both the FCA Report of 1999 and the FCA Report of 2006. It was deemed critical in 2006. The Visiting building does not have an automatic fire suppression system. The IBC states that an automatic sprinkler system shall be provided throughout the buildings with a Group I fire area. This project would provide for installation of fire sprinklers including back flow prevention devices. This project was previously recommended in both the FCA Report of 1999 and the FCA Report of 2006. It was deemed critical in 2006. (Pages 39, 41, and 59)
Project Background Information: The Admin and Ops buildings do not have an automatic fire suppression system. The building is rated as a B occupancy. Pursuant to the Nevada State Fire Marshall Regulation, NAC 477.915 © states, that every building owned or occupied by the state which is designated as a B occupancy must have sprinklers installed during the next remodel or addition.
